Why we are losing the tourist trade. People see us as unstable. Not a place oto relax and enjoy life.

💯 Tourism runs on perception. When headlines center detention expansion, unrest, and aggressive enforcement, that shapes how people assess safety and stability.

If a country is seen as politically volatile or unpredictable, visitors choose places that feel calmer and more secure. Reputation has economic consequences.

Once again Trumps unhinged & inhumane immigration tactics are going to be punishing the state of Minnesota for being a blue state and for Gov.Walz having the courage to stand up to him.

Having the German team decline coming is just one of many more international teams declining to come to the US for sporting events, which will cost the hosting cities much needed revenue. This is just one of the many ways that Trump is harming our country, our people, our economy and our American way of life.

It's a lot more than ironic that the man who is bringing America to her knees is the same man who campaigned with the slogans, Make America Great Again & American First, as he grifts billions upon billions of our tax dollars and can't seem to keep his tiny little hands out of our countries "cookie jar". No one should be paying taxes at all, they should be claiming exempt and when it comes time to file, file for an extension. We shouldn't be paying for the terrorization of our own communities by ICE agents or to be buying and building new detention centers. They aren't building them to deport immigrants- they are building them to hold us the US citizens in prisions,to enforce slave labor to make the rich richer, to dehumanize us, maybe to starve us and/or exterminate us when we become of no use to them (the ruling class)and it's crazy that we are footing the bill for all of it. Now it's the Immigrants, but soon it may be all the POC, the homeless, the disabled, the elderly, the poor, women, activists, journalists, Democrats and perhaps eventually you!

No one is safe in Trumps New Dumpster-Fire Country of America... unless you are a White Male Billionaire.

You’re pointing to the pattern: policy used as punishment, not governance.

When international teams reconsider participation and cities lose revenue, that impact is real. Actions at the federal level do not stay abstract — they ripple outward into local economies and communities.

You’re also naming the contradiction between campaign slogans and lived outcomes. When rhetoric promises national strength but results in division, economic strain, and fear, people notice. That tension deserves scrutiny.

And the core throughline is this: no one wants to feel disposable or targeted. The fear that policies could expand beyond immigrants to other vulnerable groups is rooted in history, and history is why people say “Never Again.”

Structured dissent. Public accountability. Protection of civil liberties. Those are democratic tools.

That’s the ground you’re standing on.

Germans can read the writing on the wall more clearly than many Americans.

After WWII they claimed," NIE WEIDER ( Never Again)

Now they are telling us in no uncertain terms,

NIE WIEDER IST JETZT (Never Again Is NOW)

“Never Again” was a promise born from catastrophe.

“Never Again Is Now” is a warning drawn from that same history.

You’re highlighting the contrast: lived memory versus present signals.

It’s about recognition.

It’s about urgency grounded in precedent.

When international clubs start factoring federal enforcement instability into travel decisions, that’s not optics — it’s consequence.
