Scheduled oversight lets ICE prepare. Surprise oversight exposes what ICE tried to hide.

Linda Palmer's avatar

All the facilities in the US should be shut DOWN

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

Yes — shut them down.A system built on cages, concealment, and moving human beings around to dodge oversight has no legitimacy to preserve.

Lorraine Walsh's avatar

It's absolutely disgusting & the Congress lady is correct. Animals have better accommodations. Just disgusting! SHUT THEM DOWN & SHUT TACO DON UP & OUT!!

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

No beds, no showers, people packed into cells and begging for help — that is not a facility problem.

That is a system built to degrade human beings.

Bobbi's avatar

I'm so disgusted more hasn't been done to investigate if the people in there actually have a criminal record. If they don't they should be released immediately!!! Then contact a lawyer to sue.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

That’s the point — people should not have to prove they deserve beds, showers, medical care, or basic human treatment. Even before the legal fight, the conditions themselves are already an indictment.

Marge Driller's avatar

Shut down closed and no more tax dollars going to the companies who are not taking good care of the detainees

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

That is the part people are rejecting now — public money being poured into facilities where human beings are treated like inventory instead of people.

Nobody should be trapped in overcrowded cells while companies profit from neglect and suffering.

Sharon Critzer's avatar

you are right. we should not need to go to these extremes to house illegal aliens. we should require the people who want them here to house them and to feed them. be responsible for them. if they commit a crime you should answer for it.

Kalani's avatar

Rep. Grijalva dont take AIPAC money!

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

That matters too. But on this one the immediate point is that ICE packed human beings into brutal conditions and tried to hide it until oversight forced it into the open.

Georgette Cipolla's avatar

Lying bastards I hope we get to put these ICE agent on the same place they kept our America citizen immigrants .

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

They belong under the same scrutiny and consequences they imposed on everyone else. What they did was cruel, and none of it should be allowed to disappear without accountability.

Georgette Cipolla's avatar

Totally agree

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

Worse than brutal.

People were packed into cells without beds or showers and begging for help. That is deliberate degradation.

Carol Collins's avatar

Private prisons are a bad idea. Bad places got worse. America puts way too many in jails and prisons.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

Private prisons don’t just “get worse” — they’re built to get worse. When profit depends on bodies in cages, cruelty becomes the business model, and the public ends up subsidizing corporate payrolls for punishment.

Carol Collins's avatar

Private prisons are…bad.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

They are — and this is what happens when profit, cages, and human beings get put in the same system. The cruelty is not a bug in it.

Kalani's avatar

Yes I know but we gotta get Israel devils out of here. Just a disgrace how inhumane people can be! People were in cages too under Obama and Biden and deported. Seems Trump wanna keep these people in them “for pay” prisons so his donors can make money. Prison owners are big Scump donors POSs! FDT!

Susan Powell's avatar

We have to remove this whole administration and then try them for crimes against humanity 🤬🤬🤬

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

What’s happening in those facilities is system-level cruelty, not “bad apples” — and the people who built it should be removed from power and held accountable.

No more hiding behind paperwork while human beings get treated like disposable.

Linda's avatar

But no one can seem to stop any of this!! All we get is talk not action!!!!!

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

That’s the rage of it.People keep being told to wait, trust the process, and accept more “oversight” while ICE keeps operating, hiding, and harming in plain sight.

Goldilocks's avatar

Well, don’t quit talking.

Missy’s Everyday Brews's avatar

This country is the absolute worst. Trump has allowed a mirror to show exactly how many people are very disgusting and vile.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

Trump did create the cruelty from nowhere. He exposed how many people were willing to defend it once it became policy.

turquoiserivercat's avatar

It's a shame no one is willing to report on the rapes and deaths due to the human smuggling operations that brought all these people in to begin with. Shame on Biden for allowing it. Shame on Rachel for not covering it.

Odie 11's avatar

Release these folks right now. Women and children first. Any man wasn’t committed to crime must be released as well. Stop this craziness now.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

💯 Release them now.

Packing people into cages without beds or showers isn’t “detention” anymore — it’s state abuse, and it has to end.

Kids and families out first — and everyone who isn’t charged with anything should be freed immediately.

John Stoer's avatar

You mean like Obama did it to kids?

Debra Randall's avatar

I'm pretty certain there are state laws being violated that could justify criminals warrants against ICE thugs and the prison wardens/guards.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

That’s the accountability line. If ICE agents, wardens, and guards are violating state law while people are being held in abusive conditions, warrants should not stop at the detained — they should reach the people running the abuse.

Tomhill's avatar

Charge ICE with felonies. Kidnapping, false imprisonment, crimes against humanity, etc.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

That is the accountability line. When ICE cages people, hides conditions, and strips human beings of due process, it should be treated as criminal conduct — not paperwork.

Shine's avatar

I think people forget when Black Americans said you would treat animals better then you treat us.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

That memory never left — it just keeps proving itself in new forms.

When a system can treat human beings as disposable and still call it policy, the cruelty is the point.

Sally's avatar

This is what did in his first administration caged at borders illegally. Not at the border now in prison. And they are not even criminals the criminals are WH, republicans congress, let’s not SC 6 or the few democrats down with this BS.

Lioness's avatar

Collaboration in Evil to Human Being’s.

This is a Crime against Humanity.

Breech of Fiduciary for care and safety of prisoners.

Failure to do Duty

Engagement in Torture of Human Beings

This is on TRump and the GOP GESTAPO!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

What they’re calling enforcement is organized abuse carried out under color of law.

When people are packed into cells like this and stripped of basic care, the responsibility sits with everyone who built, defended, and kept this machinery running.

Jean9's avatar

Keep it up! We mustn’t miss any opportunity to make this information known.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

Every time this gets surfaced, it gets harder for them to keep hiding what they’re doing.

People need to see it plainly and keep seeing it.

Nadja74's avatar

welcome to the United States of Russia

Natasha Young's avatar

I don't care about humiliation. That's the difference between men and women. I care about lives being lost. I care about the tax dollars that we're giving for murder so that the trump family can make money.I care about people's infrastructure disappearing. we're desalization plants ding bombed.....

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

Lives are exactly what this machinery keeps eating while people in power argue over optics.

When public money is feeding abuse, collapse, and death, humiliation is nowhere near the center of the damage.

Rainer's avatar

Oh that’s really the worst. Making money by locking up innocent people.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

Exactly — they turned human cages into a business model. Profit for the contractors, quotas for ICE, and the people inside are treated like disposable inventory.

Karin's avatar

There should be protestors there.

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

Yes. People should be outside that facility and on the phones—so ICE can’t disappear people in silence.

Public pressure + documentation is how you force accountability when the system is built to hide it.

Doug McNamara's avatar

🤬🤬👎

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

Exactly. ICE tried to keep the conditions hidden because the overcrowding, danger, and lack of accountability were the story.

The surprise inspection exposed what public pressure is supposed to expose.

Pearl's avatar

I am out raged!

RESIST | FIGHT's avatar

You should be. What they built there is cruelty by design, and they expected nobody to look too closely.
