Not a great sign is putting it gently. When federal agents treat a call for indictment like something to confront at work, the warning is much bigger than one visit.
Not only is there no noticeable justice for a woman shot by an ICE agent, but now they are allowed to send enforcers to a woman's workplace to threaten and intimidate her? This is wrong! ICE needs to be investigated and held accountable. They obviously believe that they have been given permission to act "above the law". Or maybe this regime just makes up its own laws.
That is the whole problem. There is no visible justice for Renee Good, but there is visible intimidation of someone calling for accountability. That is not law and order — that is power protecting itself.
Such important news. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your insightful commentary about why this matters to everyone in the USA going into the midterms is spot on. Thank you!!
Thank you. That is why this has to be documented clearly — if accountability speech can bring federal agents to someone’s workplace, then it matters far beyond one person or one city.
Yes. She did not name him like she was issuing a threat. She repeated the core fact: the agent involved in Renee Good’s killing should face indictment. That should not bring federal agents to her workplace.
I looked into this because it's so dystopia surreal. It sounds like DHS was trying to say that she included a street address but then they redacted that part anyway so they didn't actually prove anything there. I wouldn't put it past them to fabricate that information including creating a fake post attributed to her.
DHS redacting its own proof is the tell. If they had a real threat, they would show it cleanly instead of expecting everyone to trust the same agency doing the intimidation.
Exactly. And then there's the fact that even if she had included the street address, they entered a polling location without a second thought about it. So there's layers of problems here.
The address argument falls apart even on its own terms. Walking into a polling place like intimidation was acceptable is already the problem, before DHS ever gets to hide behind redactions.
Exactly. When federal agents show up at someone’s workplace over speech, it stops looking like public safety and starts looking like surveillance with a badge.

Not a great sign. 😕

She didn't even use his last name, isn't that telling us something?
Yes. She did not name him like she was issuing a threat. She repeated the core fact: the agent involved in Renee Good’s killing should face indictment. That should not bring federal agents to her workplace.
Exactly. It seems to me the fact that they did is like accepting he's guilty. Which he fricking is.
Confront them back at work.
